Licensed Practical Nurse New

Pride Health is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support our client’s medical facility based in Robbinsdale, MN. This permanent opportunity is a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

• Job Type: Permanent
• Specialty: Oncology/Hematology
• Schedule: 8-hour day shifts / No weekend or call requirements
• Pay Range: $24.50 - $32.77 per hour

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent (i.e., GED) – required
• Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing or Vocational School – required
• Previous clinic experience – required
• Competent in vascular access of implanted ports for lab draws and competent in venipuncture – required
• Knowledge of documentation and notification of panic values, rain rating, and abnormal lab values to provider/PNC nurse – required
• Competent in infection control policies and procedures, including care of MRSA, VRE and contact precaution customers – required
• Current licensure as LPN or LVN in the state of Minnesota – required
• Current BLS Certification, Behavioral Health Standard – required
• EPIC experience – preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate and individualized care, assisting patients through their healthcare journey with professionalism and empathy.
• Perform clinical tasks such as obtaining vitals, administering injections, and assisting providers with procedures.
• Conduct diagnostic tests, including EKGs, venipuncture, and port/PICC access, ensuring timely and accurate documentation in EPIC.
• Coordinate patient care by scheduling follow-up exams, notifying patients of test results, and addressing patient inquiries under provider guidance.

Daily Experience:

• Fast-paced environment with 130-180 daily appointments, offering a dynamic and engaging work setting.
• LPNs primarily work in the lab, performing a variety of essential tasks such as blood draws, chemo pump disconnects, and assisting with treatment plans.
